Q2 2026 Feature Announcements

Written by Advisor.AI | Jun 15, 2026

New platform features refine exploration and outreach: visible assessment progress, starter questions for every role, and test emails before a message reaches a cohort.

This post provides announcements of newly released features available in Pathways by Advisor AI, with links to additional resources.

At Advisor AI, we measure progress by the value delivered to students and the professionals who support them. Our approach has been shaped by more than 100,000 hours of research, experimentation, and field learning.

Each platform release reflects lessons learned from real-world implementation projects, feedback from our growing community of higher education practitioners, and ongoing investments in student success research. We focus on supporting institutions with trusted AI infrastructure that enhances human expertise, strengthens student engagement, and creates more connected pathways from first interest to lifelong growth.

An advisor has written a reminder for every student in her cohort, complete with personalized fields. Before it goes out, she wants to see exactly what her students will see. This release gave her that chance, along with refinements that show students where they are in an assessment and start every conversation with a useful question.

1. Assessment Progress and Refreshed Explorer

Pathway Explorer shows visible stages from assessment through careers, programs, and plan. Students can see how much remains and revisit a choice without starting over.

2. Role-Based Starter Questions

The AI assistant suggests questions tailored to whether the user is a student or an advisor. Every first visit starts with a useful question, even before a user knows what to ask.

3. Test Message Before Send

Advisors can send a test copy of an email before sending it to a cohort. Personalized fields, tone, and formatting can be checked with a safe recipient before the message reaches students.

4. Persistent Caseload Layout

Column choices on Student Management are remembered across sessions. Advisors set up their view once and find it ready each time they return.

5. Richer Milestone Notes

Progress Tracker notes support longer text in a more readable layout, giving students and advisors more room to capture context and next steps.
