Shaping the Next Era of Student Success: Advisor.AI Engages National Leaders at HERDI Innovate

San Antonio, TX — Advisor.AI recently participated in the HERDI Innovate conference, a national convening designed to bring together forward-thinking colleges and emerging technology partners focused on advancing student success across community college systems. The event brought together leaders from approximately 30 institutions, creating a unique environment for collaborative dialogue, product feedback, and strategic alignment around the evolving needs of today’s learners.

HERDI Innovate serves as a platform for institutions and solution providers to move beyond theory and into application, offering a space where real-world challenges meet practical innovation. With increasing pressure on colleges to improve persistence, completion, and workforce alignment, the conference focused on how technology can responsibly and effectively scale personalized support while preserving the human-centered nature of student success.

The Advisor.AI leadership team engaged directly with college presidents, provosts,  and student success leadership to better understand institutional priorities and operational realities. These conversations provided critical insights that will directly inform the company’s product roadmap and near term strategy.

One of the most prominent themes emerging from the conference was the need for modular and flexible pathway design. Institutional leaders emphasized the importance of adapting academic and career pathways to reflect diverse student entry points, changing goals, and non-linear journeys. Feedback reinforced the value of enabling institutions to configure pathways dynamically, allowing for enrollment pathways, academic pathways and career pathways support.

Another key area of focus was analytics. Leaders highlighted a growing demand for actionable insights that go beyond static reporting. Specifically, there is a need for tools that empower administrators and advising teams to measure engagement, identify intervention opportunities, and evaluate the impact of student success initiatives at both the macro and micro levels. This includes advisor capacity, milestone completion, and student engagement analytics.

Lastly, participants highlighted the importance of administrator-driven cohort management capabilities. As institutions scale support services, there is a critical need for streamlined tools that allow administrators to segment student populations, deploy targeted outreach strategies, and monitor progress across cohorts.

“The level of engagement and candor from institutional leaders at HERDI Innovate was exceptional,” said Arjun Arora, founder of Advisor.AI. “Their insights are invaluable in ensuring that what we build is not only innovative, but also practical, scalable, and aligned with institutional priorities.”

The conference reinforced a broader shift underway in higher education: institutions are seeking integrated, adaptable platforms that unify advising, academic planning, and career development into a cohesive experience. Solutions must be flexible enough to meet institutional complexity while remaining intuitive for both students and staff.

Advisor.AI remains committed to co-designing its platform alongside the institutions it serves. Insights from HERDI Innovate will play a pivotal role in advancing product capabilities, strengthening impact measurement, and continuing to deliver a system that supports both student achievement and institutional transformation.
